Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Sidon platform at sidonmarine.uk ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Sidon is a maritime voyage planning platform that provides route planning, weather integration, marina discovery, fleet tracking, and berth booking tools. Features vary by subscription plan.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

4. Berth bookings

When you request a berth through Sidon, you are making a booking request to an independent marina operator. Sidon is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for the marina's acceptance, rejection, or cancellation of a booking.

• Payment holds are placed via Stripe and are only captured upon marina confirmation.
• Cancellation and refund terms are set by the individual marina operator.
• Sidon is not liable for any loss arising from a marina's failure to honour a booking.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform.
• Submit false booking requests or fraudulent payment details.
• Share fleet position data without the consent of those being tracked.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Availability and accuracy

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Marina availability, pricing, and depth data displayed on Sidon are provided for planning purposes only and may not reflect real-time conditions. Always verify critical navigation information from official sources before departure.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, and code within the Service is owned by Sidon Marine Ltd or its licensors. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the Service without written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sidon Marine Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, voyage disruption, or navigation incidents.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Sidon after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
